Recent Portfolio Shoot

Sorry for being inactive in the blogosphere for a while. Been busy since I got back from HK last week. Anyway, sharing with you initial photos from the portfolio shoot we did last Sunday, May 15.

I actually did 3 make-up looks for this shoot, but these photos only show 2 of them. Will post more pics as soon as I get copies from the photographer... :)

BTW, it was actually my first time to use Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Foundation with the Graftobian HD Pro Powder...This combo is really perfect for photography!... =)

MAC's Latest Greatest Accessories

Many of you might have missed this, with all the new collections being launched, but MAC has also launched 6 new accessories this week in the US. I know, it'll take forever again before it reaches Manila's shores but here's a quick round up of what's to come:

Described as an ultra-soft, latex-free sponge shaped for a more controlled and flawless application of cream and liquid foundations and makeup products. It is actually just an updated PINK version of MAC's Flat Oval Foundation sponge. Retails for US$8.00
A dual-sided sponge designed to provide versatility in application. The pink side is designed for use with liquids, gels and creams while the white flocked side is specifically designed for flawless application of powders and powder foundations. It's multi-purpose as you can also buff and polish with either side of the spomge. Also retails for US$8.00.
Among the 3 sponges, I am especially intrigued and excited with this one as it reminds me of the infamous Beauty Blender. This Pro sponge was designed and shaped  for precise application and blending of liquid or cream formulas in hard-to-reach areas of the face. Pink. Latex-free and retails for US$18.00
A pretty straight forward screw-on spray pump for MAC travel bottles. It's spill-and-leak proof and it provides a spray-mist application. Retails for US$6.00
It's funny but a local Filipino cosmetic brand, Fanny Serrano, beat them to launching this a couple of years back. A demi-version of the M·A·C Lash Curler. Designed to lift and curl the shorter, more inaccessible lashes at the inner corner of the eye. Works with the same easy "squeeze and release" motion of the full-sized version. Retails for US$14.00.
A new version of MAC's duo sharpener, this is also designed for eye and lip pencils of any size. Features one small and one large opening located side by side. Precision-honed. What's great is that it comes with a cleaner to help clear the blade of excess product. Retails for US$6.00

Yummy MAC Candy Yum Yum!

Look what came in the mail today! The much-coveted MAC Lipstick shade of all time-MAC Matte Lipstick in Candy Yum Yum from the Quite Cute Collection. I can't believe it got sold out in hour after its launch in the US...wow!

After hearing about this news from RB Chanco, I knew I had to go online and get one for myself. I actually purchased it last April 11 and it only arrived today. It waslaunched in Manila last Sunday, May 1 ,and as expected all stocks of this shade got sold out within the same day...Well I'm just glad I ordered it earlier and didn't have to rush to the nearest MAC counter on a Sunday morning...

Looking at it right now, I can understand why there is such a huge fuzz about it...Pink can't get any more NEON than this!!! Hahaha
